Every dawn, an evil shadow stretches across the land. The corruption of a powerful feline spirit who turns buildings into scratching posts, crops into catnip, and people into mice just for a snack.

It was a year ago that, through sheer trickery, she stole the absolute and corrupting power of a lich. Once known as "the Elder," she is known today only as the "Meowssiah." Her tyranny spreads like plague, her corrupting influence bending minds and breaking spirits.

Her gaze has been set. Your home, the city of Saltmarsh, is next. But you will not let her turn your home into her own seaside litter box.

You are a part of a secret resistance known as the "Purrge", working tirelessly to find a way to defeat the Meowssiah. The Purrge has bled for every rumor, chased every whisper, and buried many of your friends along the way.

But on this day, fate delivers you a gift.
